The Oncology Pharmacy team provides an individualised, patient-focused approach to patient care, carried out by highly skilled and trained expert Oncological Pharmacists.
Our professional and friendly team endeavours to meet the demands of all our patients, working closely with other members of the Cancer Centre London staff. Treatment protocols are tailored to the individual ensuring best practice in all aspects of the service.
The on-site Oncology Pharmacy Aseptic Unit at Cancer Centre London is an individually designed facility where safety is ensured via monitoring, external audits and frequent safety checks.
The Aseptic Unit is responsible for the reconstitution of intravenous meds into individual doses specific to each patient’s tailor-made prescriptions and treatment plan.
The unit repeatedly meets the highest standards of safety and quality for chemotherapy medication production.
Each member of the Oncology Pharmacy team has been individually selected for a specific, strategic role based on their key skills, ensuring a diversity of expertise that can tailor every patient’s treatment to their individual needs.
Provision of additional services such as medicine information and patient advice, counselling and support for treatments, alongside the most up to date evidence-based treatment plans and access to information databases, enable the best possible care for all our patients and are key to the Oncology Pharmacy team’s role.
