David completed his Master of Science Degree in Physiotherapy at Northumbria University in 2009. In addition to experience gained in the NHS and private clinics, he has provided physiotherapy for a variety of sports people, tournaments and public events. This includes combat sports, rugby, football, squash and tennis players, triathletes, runners and rowers at various levels.
David’s approach utilizes functional movement assessment and screening as well as focused musculoskeletal injury testing as a basis for assessment. This facilitates selection of the most appropriate treatment options available to assist healing and recovery as well as identification of other factors contributing to injury.
He believes in bespoke treatment for his clients using a range of modalities (joint mobilisation/manipulation, soft tissue release, acupressure and trigger point release), Kinesiotaping, Functional Fascial taping and Therapeutic exercise (including core stability training using the APPI Clinical Pilates Method). David joined the Physiotherapy team here at Parkside in 2015.
